The Victim Advocate Certificate is designed for individuals who work with and advocate for victims of crime, violence, abuse, and community trauma. This 36-hour training program is divided into three sessions of 12 contact hours each, all of which are offered in the course of one year. Course A is normally offered in November, Course B in January and Course C in the month of April. There are no prerequisites. Courses may be taken in any order or independently of each other. Those completing the three courses will be eligible for the Victim Advocate Certificate. This training is approved for VOCA and the State Services to Victim Fund. Courses A, B & C are limited to 30 participants.
