| Academic Staff members are chosen by the Camp Bear selection committee based on experience, talents, and the high educational quality of enrichment classes proposed. They come from various school districts or are professionals in their area of expertise. Academic Staff are responsible for the care of the campers during scheduled class time. | |
| Recreation Staff members are carefully screened and selected from a number of highly qualified and mature applicants. This staff is a dynamic group of individuals who are eager to have fun and teach good sportsmanship and teambuilding skills to all campers. They are responsible for the care of the campers at all times except when they are in academic classes. All staff must be a minimum of senior level in college to be considered in addition to extension reference and background checks. | |
